Lost and Despondent Comics #1

Lost and Despondent Comics is my attempt at a fake manga-style comic, also inspired by R. Crumb's and the rest of the free world's autobiographical/journal comics. It’s badly drawn and kind of awful, but it’s my baby anyway. The process of making the damn thing was pretty elaborate, pictures and text were literally cut and pasted onto a new page for a 3-D ransom note effect. You can see the shadows on the scan. I haven't drawn a new one in some years, science, love, and crap like that got in the way of ART. So, we'll see if there's ever another one. I've got about ten to share here with commentary! Aren't you all lucky?
LDC #1 is basically a slightly more sophisticated and hopefully funnier version of a ridiculous, self-pitying comic I drew in high school, "The Sad Future of Little Foo", charitably lost to the mists of time. It involved me living in people’s basements for the rest of my life.
I had planned to use the Magic TV thing as a recurring feature, but I don't think I ever used it again, maybe because it was kind of dumb.
The bit with a goldfish is kind of a true story. So here it is! Click for life size!
